This privacy policy applies to all country editions of Tripwelo on tripwelo.com.
2. Hosting and server logs
The website runs on servers of netcup GmbH, Daimlerstraße 25, 76185 Karlsruhe, Germany. When you visit the website we process technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, referrer, browser and operating system information and the status code. The purpose is the secure and stable operation of the website (defence against attacks, error analysis). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest.
3. DNS and email forwarding
For domain name resolution (DNS) and for forwarding emails sent to @tripwelo.com addresses we use Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Emails you send us are forwarded to a mailbox provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to the USA; both providers are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR (answering your enquiry).
4. Contact form
If you write to us using the contact form, we process your name, email address and message in order to answer your enquiry. The data is stored in our database on servers of netcup GmbH and deleted automatically after 12 months unless statutory retention obligations apply. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
5. Cookies and consent
Necessary cookies: the cookie tw_consent stores your choice in the privacy settings (12 months). WordPress sets login cookies for signed-in members of the editorial team. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and the national rules on storing information on terminal equipment where strictly necessary to provide the service.
All other cookies and similar technologies are used only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
6. Google Analytics 4 (only with consent)
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 provided by Google Ireland Limited to analyse how the website is used (e.g. pages viewed, time spent, device type, approximate location). Cookies (_ga, _ga_*) are set and pseudonymous usage data is processed; IP addresses are truncated by Google within the EU. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Data is deleted after 14 months. Google Analytics is not loaded without your consent.
Google Analytics is loaded via Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited), a tool for managing scripts. Tag Manager itself does not set cookies or create user profiles, but it processes your IP address when it loads. Google Tag Manager is also loaded only after you consent to statistics.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent at any time. Please contact privacy@tripwelo.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country of your habitual residence. The authority competent for the controller is: Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz Sachsen-Anhalt, Leiterstraße 9, 39104 Magdeburg.
8. Other information
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling. Providing your data is neither a statutory nor a contractual requirement. The connection to the website is encrypted (HTTPS).
